David Evans
CEO | Director & Secretary
David Evans is the entrepreneur who founded ITC. After leaving his role as IT Manager of the Adelaide Festival, Australia's premier arts event, in 2000, David started the digital content production company Digital Monkey, servicing the Australian Entertainment Industry and working closely with creative people on a plethora of applications and content for the digital and interactive screen. David identified the ITC opportunity while working with his then client, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. A partnership was formed to create ITC, leveraging David’s global digital music and entertainment contacts and his extensive arts and information technology experience.

Peter Griffiths
Director & Chair
Representing the investment in ITC by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Peter Griffiths holds the position of Chairperson and is responsible for overseeing corporate governance, policy, management strategy, and operations compliance within ITC. Peter is a CPA with an Honours Degree in Economics from Adelaide University. He previously spent 36 years with Coca-Cola and was Managing Director of the CC Bottlers Group until 1990 when he became Managing Director of Coca-Cola Amatil Europe, with responsibility for the development of Coca Cola business in 12 Eastern Europe countries and 2 billion dollars of revenue. Retired 5 years, Peter is a Director of the Asthma Foundation and wireless company Codan Ltd.

Mark Jeffries
Director
Mark Jeffries represents ITC’s Angel investor. Prior to retiring in 2000 to concentrate on private investments, Mark spent 12 years as a corporate and tax partner of a national law firm. While practicing law he formed and led a successful IT and telco legal consulting practice working on technology, telco, and due diligence projects for central government, multinationals and corporations. Mark is a board member of several privately held technology companies; a director of Massey University's incubator based in New Zealand; and has had a number of high profile governance roles. Mark has an LLB and Master of Taxation (Hons) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and has co-authored international publications on M&A Law (1990) and Telecommunications in the Pacific Rim (1998).

Dr William Thorpe
Chief Technology Officer | Director

Dr Thorpe has over 18 years experience in software research and development in signal processing related to speech, medical acoustics, singing, and music with a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, developing acoustic analysis algorithms for speech, cough, and dolphin vocalisations. He spent 18 months at the British Telecom Research Labs before taking up research positions, first at McGill University where he developed a computer model of human lungs, then at the University of Sydney where he undertook research on the singing voice. This research resulted in the commercial development of Sing & See – software which provides real-time visual feedback for singers, and that incorporates acoustic analysis algorithms highly optimised for the singing voice.

Chris Matters
Head of Content

Chris Matters has been the Program Director for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra since 2001 whose main role is to develop new and innovative means to generate revenue for the orchestra. Chris has worked with ITC and Digital Monkey since its technology conception phase and has been a key driver and contact within the Classical Music arena. Chris brings over 8 years of experience as the Education and Audience Development Manager Adelaide Symphony Orchestra with responsibility to create, develop and manage the ASO Education and Audience Program, which means that he has the necessary knowledge of the eduction market for classical music.  This program operated as a complete business entity covering all aspects of the work of the ASO and reached audiences from 4 years to 84 years old.  Education Program attendances between 1992 and 1999 increased from 2000 to 20,000 people annually.

An ex Specialist Music Teacher, curriculum writer and examiner with the SA Department of Education, Chris has the knowledge, contacts and experience to take In the Chair to the classical market world wide.

Adam Basheer
Head of Business Development
With a Bachelor in Business (Marketing) from the University of South Australia, Adam is a  professional marketer and manager with a background in large blue chip organisations including British Aerospace Australia, Faulding, Berri and Lion Nathan, Adam was a key advisor to the industry for the Centre for Innovation, Business and Manufacturing.

Adam was previously Australasian Business Manager for Agrilink International where he designed and implemented key business systems to increase the market size, effectiveness and efficiency of this highly complex agribusiness, IT and technology company.

A marketing and commercialisation consultant since 1998, Adam has been highly involved in the development of business, marketing and strategic plans and has first hand industry experience in a wide variety of industries including information technology. Adam regularly runs workshops on business planning, marketing and management issues.

Douglas Schwartz
US Marketing Director
Douglas Schwartz has over 20 years of experience managing and driving all aspects of strategic marketing and corporate communications programs. He has worked with start-up and mid-sized companies, as well as with divisions of billion-dollar, international corporations. He has experience in a variety of industries, including broadcast, video, cable, internet, semiconductor, broadband, and test and instrumentation. Companies include Nec Electronics, Quantel, and Pinnacle Systems; Douglas Schwartz also founded and internet start-up company eFound as well as SterlingCi, a full service marketing communications agency.
